Private view: 18th August 18:00-21:00 Exhibition: 20th August - 24th September, Saturdays 11-5pm "My current work has evolved over many years of exploration and investigation into drawing from direct observation in the form of working in a sketchbook and my obsession with architecture mostly within the inner city. This began to manifest itself after a visit to New York in the summer of 1981 that changed the course of my work completely from landscape to wondering the inner city streets with a handful of pencils and paper. I worked in print for a number of years and later began working in paint and plaster as I wanted to create surfaces that have a strong physicality, and allowed me to carve and push the medium, but only allowed me a short amount of time initially. I wanted to recreate the immediacy of the sketch and the wet plaster was perfect for this due to its drying qualities."
